I've always had a thing for gay guys. It's weird. My gay radar simply refuses to transmit the signal even if the signs are all over the place. It started with Stephen Gately in highschool, a gay guy I almost dated in college, a gay officemate who I had a huge crush on right before I discovered his varsity bag meant he's playing volleyball not basketball and not to mention, my hot gay optometrist who had simply proven the I have a really poor eyesight because I didn't noticed his pointed designer leather shoes and flipping eyebrows. Tsk Tsk. Good Doctor. Why do you have to be gay?
And then the charming Darren Criss happened one day as Blaine Anderson in Glee. I mean, how adorable is this guy?
Criss was born in San Francisco, California on February 5, 1987. His mother a native of Cebu and his father has an Irish ancestry. Pretty good combination right there. In 2009, he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from University of Michigan.
“It’s more empowering to everybody if I’m articulate about identifying myself as a straight male playing a gay character. Ultimately, that’s more powerful for both communities.”
Criss, who will take part in the upcoming Glee tour, is thankful for his role on the series and the new ties it has forged for him. He says: "The coolest part is not that it’s a hit show - that’s a bonus - and, of course, that I have a job. But the real cool thing is I was inadvertently raised by the gay community."

This whole Darren Criss thing just exploded when I witnessed that mind-blowing scene he had with Rachel Berry played by co-star Lea Michelle. There was something "Straight" about the kiss. Aww. Darren Criss also appeared in televisions series Eastwick and Cold Case. He was also popularly known as Harry Potter in the A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel.
The 24-year-old Irish-Filipino actor song-writer had written a Nemo Song for Ellen who provided Dory's voice in the Disney-Pixar animated Finding Nemo. Check out this cute interview:
